Santa Clarita Valley Comic Con

This weekend, September 30 – October 2, if you happen to find yourself at the Santa Clarita Valley Comic Con, make sure you stop at my table to say hello and drop a fat wad of cash on my offerings of various merchandise! And, because every good post needs a picture, heres a cute fairy I drew!

If sagacious words of comic making wisdom is what you want from me, this weekend will offer a bountiful bonanza of Timony soundbites, as I’ll be participating in three panel discussions, detailed below:

Saturday at 2:00PM — What it takes to be a Comics Artist – Can you create terrific comic book art, but aren’t sure about the next steps to pursue a career in comics? This is your chance to get your questions answered by the professionals. We’re here to help. Join moderator Jim Higgins, artist JD Correa, and me to learn about networking, conventions, scheduling, contracts, creator rights, working with editors and other valuable information.

Sunday at 2:00PM — Character Design – In this panel, moderated by Jim Higgins, we’ll be talking about character design. What makes for good character design? Can the design of a character reveal their personality or inform the story? Lets discuss.

Sunday at 4:00PMMonster Elementary – Join Gwendolyn Dreyer, Nick Doan, myself, and probably a few other artists as we talk about Monster Elementary! We’ll talk about the first book, the brand new book, our experiences kickstarting it and finding a publisher! We’ll probably pepper it with fun anecdotes as well.

I’ve got a lot to talk about, and a bunch of cool things to show you. Come join me, won’t you?

Bobby at the Mythology Art Show

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to be a part of the Mythology show at the Little Labs Gallery in Burbank on July 16th from 6-10PM, and I’m inviting you all to come out, see the cool art and say hello!

Mythology is a great subject for an art show. There are soon many great myths and monsters to draw!

As I was sitting on my couch watching a show about Bigfoot, it occurred to me that Cryptids and campfire stories definitely count as a form of Mythology! Thus, this series of Campfire Mythology was born.

Come on out and see these, along with many other great pieces of Mythology Art! Here’s the Facebook link! https://www.facebook.com/events/1557005734604388/

Bobby Timony at Heroes Con!

Ever since I moved West, my East Coast appearances have been a rare occurrence. Well, guess what?!? I’m gonna be in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Heroes Comic Convention on June 17-19! I’ll be in Artist Alley, sitting with my friends, Kevin Colden and Miss Lasso-Gross!

I’ll be bringing with me some comics and original art and prints! I’ll have my Monster Pin Up Girls playing cards and the art book! I’ll also have a preview comic of Goblin Hood for you! Come on down and say hi!

You can find us at AA1825!
